This September

1. Illustration for a book I've loved doing - coming out in Jan / 2. I've quit refined sugar for a few months and this bar looks amazing. / 3. Lovely organic veg at my local Farmer's Market. / 4. I've just received some lovely copies of a Colouring Book I've worked on. / 5. Gorgeous flowers also at Stroud Famer's Market. / 6. Walk with my lovely daughter Syd. / 7. I was in Blooms again buying plants I just can't resist. / 8. I've finally admitted to myself that Crossfit is not good for my back and I'm now training at a fab local gym. / 9.  Yaaay, my Aloe Vera plant is finally growing :)

All sorts of Orange

I limited myself to black, white and variations of orange on Instagram this week.

Picture at the bottom is a sneak peak at one of the colouring book pages from a new book out later this month with Michael O'Mara.

Vintage Girls

Loved drawing these girls.  Taking so much inspiration from whoever the talented illustrator was for this 1930s shop catalogue.

Then adding my own version of some 1930's fabric.  Wish I'd hand painted the fabric instead of chickening out of messing up, and creating digitally.  Next time ....

I've just moved my Paint Every Day project to my regular Instagram account @jotaylordesigns

There has been one major flaw with it so far as I didn't actually paint every day.

Here are some of my faves from the first attempt:

Crayons and Coffee

Quick Panda sketch whilst I'm supposed to be working on something entirely different.  Pencil crayon swished around with a paintbrush dipped in my coffee.
